The TPS 77 radar is for long range surveillance which is
provided by Lockheed Martin to the Pakistan air force in early 2005 the USAF
awarded six long ranges Lockheed Martin AN/TPS-77 Transportable Radar. TPS-77 was
ordered in support to Pakistan air defense system and its operations.
The radar provides continual 3-d surveillance of high
quality for the air targets upto the range of 250 nautical miles. The radar is
the state of art in 3-D solid state based radar design that is the successive
in the world till now. The most radar has the unmanned modes and it work good
in auto mood under the broad operations environment range.
Now more than 25 countries are using TPS-77 radar system. The Lockheed Martin provides a
fair degree of commonality in relation to logistics- related aspects for the
FPS-117(type-92)radar. They operate better in unmanned mode in remote regions
